a| Ernest Willem Mulder was a Dutch composer, conductor, and teacher. He was a pupil of Schulz (piano) and Zweers (composition) at the Amsterdam Toonkunst Conservatorium, where he became a professor of theory and composition. From 1938 to 1947 he lectured at the University of Utrecht. He also was director of the Bussum Music School and conductor of the Toonkunst society. He is remembered by Ton Koopman for having written a book on countyerpoint.
