a| Georg Sarganeck was a pedagogue, grammar school teacher, school inspector and pietist. He was born in Dolní Suchá in the Těšín region, a village in Karviná District, Moravian-Silesian Region, Czech Republic. He studied at the University of Halle. From 1728 to 1730 he worked as a teacher at the Evangelical Jesus School in Těšín, from where he was expelled by Emperor Charles VI because of his pietism. He went to Germany, where he taught at schools in Neustadt an der Aisch and Halle. He is one of the most important personalities of Czech non-Catholic exile literature.
