a| Johannes Weber (1818-1902) was Meyerbeer's secretary and wrote the musical feuilleton for Le Temps from 1861 to 1895. The author of works on music and education in France, he also took an interest in aesthetics and translated Lindau's Richard Wagner (1885). His notable contributions to the RNM attest to the quality of his work.
