Johan Adam Remmers was organist of the Amsterdam Mennonite Church 'near the Lamb' from 1777 to 1780, thereafter of the Waalse Church in Amsterdam (thus still in 1793, and after 1806). His organ accompaniments to the Mennonite hymns of 1793 suggest that he was then organist of another Mennonite church (perhaps 'De Zon,' because the hymns are those of this congregation).
