Rohr was a Saxon cameralist, natural scientist in the early period of the Enlightenment and, as a writer, one of the best-known authors of German domestic literature. In addition to his cameralistic and scientific publications, he made a lasting name for himself with his two contemporary travel guides for the Upper and Lower Harz Mountains.
Incomplete copy: frontispiece engraving and table of contents are missing
