Carefully written music manuscript containing eighteen two- to four-part hymns in Wendish and twenty-one in German. Passion chorales at the end, some with more than thirty verses. In some cases the composers are specified. A valuable source on church music in Lusatia around the middle of the eighteenth century.
Lusatia (German: Lausitz), also known as Sorbia, is a historical region in Central Europe, split between Germany and Poland.
Historically the Sorbian languages have also been known as Wendish (named after the Wends, the earliest Slavic people in modern Poland and Germany) or Lusatian.
