Gregorio Leti was an Italian historian and satirist from Milan, who sometimes published under the pseudonym Abbete Gualdi, and known for his works about the Catholic Church, especially the papacy. All of his publications were listed on the Index Librorum Prohibitorum.
Olimpia Maidalchini Pamphili (1591-1657) was married to Pamphilio Pamphili, the brother of Innocentius X (Giambattista Pamphili)
Leti's suggests that Olimpia was the Pope's mistress and poisoned cardinals
