2nd edition of the "Lobwasserschen" translation of 1751.Ambrosius Lobwasser (1515–1585) was a German humanist and translator, and best known for his Psalter des Königlichen Propheten David, published in 1573 (Leipzig). This metrical psalter, a translation of the Genevan Psalter, became one of the standard psalm-books used by the evangelical churches of the German-speaking lands
The introduction outlines a brief history of this version: translated in the mid-1550ies from German into French by Théodore de Bèze & Clement Marot, with music by Claude Goudimel, and then by Lobwasser again into German in 1565
