- Georges Bonnenfant, better known as Canon Bonnenfant, was a Catholic priest from the diocese of Évreux, historian and great scholar. Ordained to the priesthood in 1902, he was titular canon of Évreux cathedral and also taught at the town's seminary. He is the author of numerous works on religious history and local art history. He was awarded several prizes by the Académie française:
