Nota:
Acoustician Albert Joseph Vivier, born in Huy (Belgium), was a pupil of Fétis at the Brussels Conservatoire (1842). In 1857 he produced an opera in Brussels,'Padillo le tavernier', but he should be mentioned especially as the author of a "Traite complet d'harmonie" (1862, frequently reprinted), in which the chord formations resulting from suspensions and changing notes are clearly distinguished from the main harmonies.
