Nota:
Priest, organist, chapel master, music theorist and teacher, and prolific composer. Although encompassed in the time of musical classicism, his work includes the end of the baroque and concludes with glimpses of romanticism. Being one of the great Spanish musical figures of the first half of the 19th century, he came to be defined abroad as a “musical genius of Spain".
Andrevi's 'Theoretical-Practical Treatise on Harmony and Composition' had editions in Spanish and French, and was the result of its preparation during the time of exile. It acquired great importance and prolonged use, and even served as a reference to other similar manuals.
