Ex Libris Library of Marie Joeph Godefroy, Count of Montgrand (1822-1897), French historian and author. The house of Montgrand originated in the Vivarais region, France; it took its name from a large seigniorial land located in this province. Towards the end of the 17th century it came to settle in the Provence region.
The three books on poetics by Vossius (De artis poeticae natura ac constitutione liber, the Poeticarum institutionum libri tres, and the booklet De imitatione) here bound together, originally were all first published in 1647.
